EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Helping People Help Themselves
The Employment Services Program offers job counseling, training
and support services to adult residents of South Providence and the
larger Providence Enterprise Community.
Since 1995, over 320 persons have been successful in obtaining
full and/or part-time jobs through the Program. During that period,
12 separate training programs were administered.
The Program has recently been placing a heavy emphasis on
enhancing the career mobility goals of those residents previously
placed into jobs, believing that investing resources in these
individuals produces very positive and substantive results. However,
the Program continues to keep its doors open to all residents in the
community to provide assistance with employment. To become eligible to participate, a resident must
stop be the office to fill out a standard application form, show proof of
residency, and schedule an initial interview.
