The CleanScape Story

CleanScape is an innovative recycling and urban landscaping company formed in 1999 by the South Providence development Corporation as a means to create opportunity in this distressed part of our capital city. We pay living wages and offer health benefits and profit sharing to our employees and training opportunities to unemployed and underemployed residents of the Providence Enterprise Community. CleanScape provides the best recycling services available to the commercial sector and specializes in environmentally sensitive urban landscaping. (Our customer list speaks for itself.)

We have successfully combined business, environmental and social agendas to become a model of what can be accomplished through partnership, diligence and thinking differently. CleanScape is proud to have been selected as winner, by the Environment Council of Rhode Island, of the 2001 Senator John H. Chafee Conservation Award for our efforts towards environmental protection and urban revitalization.
